Enjoy Friends of the Brentwood Library Book Sales

We have quarterly pop-up sales featuring various themes.

These community sales are held in the library community room to accommodate a larger selection of inventory, and customers. During these sales, we offer many discounts, and a larger selection of books and puzzles.

We have pop-up hook sales from time to time throughout the year and focus on selling overstocked items and books on specialized topics, such as art books, children’s books, and teacher materials. The sales are usually held on the second floor of the library.

How to Donate Books

The Friends of the Brentwood Library would like to thank the community for an abundance of book donations. Without these donations, we could not operate our store. Proceeds from our sales benefit programs at the library.

At this time, while we are processing our influx of donations, we will be limiting donations. Book donations are accepted by appointment only. Please call 925-516-5284 or email [email protected] You will be called or emailed with a time/date to bring donations. Please do not leave donations in the book drop, library, or bookshop bins.

We do not accept:

• Books older than 10 years old with the exceptions of classics and children’s books
• No digital media- audiobooks, DVD’s and CD’s
• No cookbooks, gardening, self-help or religion/spiritual
• Textbooks, Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, Time-Life books
